Evaluation Analyst - Sustainability/ESG

Job description:

ESGmark® is looking for a sustainability-focused evaluation analyst. This role will be responsible for analysing the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) credentials of organisations applying for the prestigious ESGmark® certification. The role would suit a motivated and passionate individual who can produce high quality analysis and exceptionally detailed reports. The analyst will evaluate what are often complex aspects of an organisation’s supply chain and business processes to determine an organisation’s eligibility for the ESGmark® certificate.

ESGmark® is a young and dynamic business that exists to help organisations and consumers create a more responsible, sustainable and fairer future. We award the prestigious ESGmark® certification and community membership to organisations which demonstrate strong Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) credentials. We work continuously with our community members to help them on their journey of positive change. We publish self-help guides, provide bespoke advice where appropriate, encourage networking and support our community members in developing their ESG credentials and communicating their achievements to their key stakeholders. Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyse and assess application forms from ESGmark® prospects to establish eligibility.Create detailed reports on the ESG credentials of newly submitted ESGmark® applicants.

  • Ensure a smooth client journey from initial application submission to eventual certification.

  • Communicate directly with prospects, guiding them through the process as well as supporting them through any challenges.

  • Work with the founders to ensure and maintain quality throughout the application process.

Qualifications/Key skills required:

  • Sustainability focused degree – Bachelors/ Masters / PhD

  • Sustainability focused work experience is a bonus

  • Excellent data analysis skills and proficient in excel

  • Excellent writing skills and ability to produce high quality written work in a timely manner consistent with our company’s tone

  • Excellent command of written English

  • Experience with existing sustainability standards

  • Great people skills and confident conversationalist

  • Excited by the prospect of a start-up in a fast-growing sector

  • Passionate about helping organisations on their sustainability journey

  • Genuine desire to help change the world for the better

  • Good organisational skills
