In Good Company

In Good Company is a female-led, tech-for-good startup on a mission to drive growth for small, ethical and sustainable ‘good’ bricks and mortar businesses in the hospitality, retail and entertainment sectors.

We do this via our data-driven search and match platform - ingood.app - which connects people with the perfect feel-good, guilt-free ethical businesses and experiences, and businesses with people that want to make more of their money.

From cafes and restaurants, to shops and markets, our platform provides curated listings that are verified by experts, and reviewed by consumers who want to use their spending power for good.

It was born out of the frustration that whilst there are lots of ethical businesses and solutions exist to find online ones, it’s still hard to find them ‘in real life’. We know consumers increasingly want to shop small, local and with purpose. And these businesses are playing a vital role in tackling the range of societal and environmental challenges we face, as well as supporting the UK economy, but they need more customers to survive, and thrive.

Our platform is powered by a new database of ethical businesses, which we’ve created by forming partnerships with 14 expert organisations including ESGmark®, the Living Wage Foundation, Social Enterprise UK and Sustainable Restaurant Association.

Our vision is to create a world where ethical businesses are plentiful and thriving, and it’s as convenient for consumers to find them as it is to order a delivery. We’re also Living Wage Employer, signatory of the Good Business Charter and member of the Organisation for Responsible Business. In Good Company is aligned with UNSDG 12, Responsible Consumption.

In Good Company’s goals are closely aligned with ESGmark®’s - to make it easier for businesses of all sizes to communicate their positive impact and for consumers to easily identify businesses doing good. Being part of the ESGmark® community connects us with businesses who care and helps us evidence our own impact.
