Menopause Awareness: ESGmark® joins HELLO! Magazine Changemakers breakfast

11 October 2024

Yesterday we were delighted to attend a Changemakers breakfast in honour of World Menopause Month, hosted by ESGmark® community member HELLO! Magazine in conjunction with Wellbeing of Women held at Langans Brasserie.

We heard from panel members including Wellbeing of Women’s Janet Lindsay, Victoria Mckenzie-Gould of M&S and British Beauty Council's Ruby Hammer about the importance of breaking perceived taboos and having open conversations about the Menopause in the workplace, to create a more inclusive environment where all colleagues can thrive.

ESGmark® can help you navigate conversations around menopause in the workplace and ensure your colleagues are supported and can reach their full potential. Contact us at info@esgmark.co.uk and we will be in touch.

Discover how your organisation can support employees through our Menopause Workplace Policy Guide

The introduction of a Menopause Policy is an important step in promoting a safe, fair, and inclusive workplace for women and those experiencing menopause or perimenopause. A comprehensive policy provides information and a clear framework for supporting employees during this stage of life and ensuring they are treated fairly within the organisation. It also helps to encourage open discussion about menopause, reducing stigma and ensuring that individuals do not feel isolated while managing its effects at work.

The guide explains the purpose of a menopause policy, provides an overview of menopause and its impact in the workplace, and outlines why having a policy is important. It also offers practical guidance on creating an inclusive working environment, supporting employees experiencing menopause or perimenopause, and signposts additional online resources that can be shared with staff.
